The President of the 75th session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Volkan Bozkir, met today with H.E. Felipe Carlos Sola, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship of the Argentine Republic.
The President thanked Minister Sola for his personal presence at the UN which reflected Argentina’s continue commitment to multilateralism and the United Nations.
They discussed the central role of the General Assembly on the peaceful settlement of disputes and on decolonization, and in particular in relation with the General Assembly item on the “Question of the Falkland Islands (Malvinas)”. Among others prominent issues, they addressed the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development with a special focus on Middle Income Countries, the global pandemic recovery, including its economic impact with developing countries, and the importance of multilateral action to enhance universal access to vaccines.
The meeting took place at United Nations Headquarters in New York.
