The 75th anniversary of the United Nations is a time for celebration – but also reflection. Over its 75 years, the United Nations has become the world’s foremost forum for addressing issues that transcend national boundaries, maintaining international peace and security, promoting sustainable and inclusive development and protecting human rights. In order to keep delivering and improving, the General Assembly needs to reach out to civil society and other stakeholders. It must bring the voices of the world’s people into the Assembly’s discussions.
