The President of the 74th Session of the UN General Assembly, H.E. Tijjani Muhammad-Bande, held today a bilateral meeting with the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, H.E. Mr. Muhammadu Buhari, on the margins of the General Debate.
They exchanged views on the prospects for the 74th Session and how to further strengthen multilateralism, and the General Assembly in particular, in addressing some of the major challenges on the UN agenda, including climate change, the Sustainable Development Goals, and peace and security.
President Buhari congratulated the PGA on his election. President Muhammad-Bande thanked President Buhari for all the support he has been receiving, also on behalf of his team, to the benefit of the international community, towards his successful tenure as PGA.
