READOUT: meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine

The President of the 74^th Session of the UN General Assembly, H.E. Tijjani Muhammad-Bande, today held a bilateral meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, H.E. Mr. Vadym Prystaiko, who came to New York to participate in the General Assembly’s 58^th plenary meeting under agenda item 63, “The situation in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine”.

The President and the Foreign Minister exchanged views on the preparations for the commemoration of the 75^th anniversary of the United Nations later this year, among other issues. Mr. Vadym Prystaiko thanked President Muhammad-Bande for his leadership and reiterated Ukraine’s support to the work the UN has been doing in addressing some of the major challenges currently facing the international community.
