They exchanged views on the Prospects for the 74th session of the General Assembly in particular on the President’s priority on quality education, stressing its key importance for the empowerment of women and girls. The Foreign Minister expressed Canada’s willingness to work together with the President on this issue and on all items under the Agenda of the General Assembly as well as invited the President to visit Canada. They exchanged view on Africa considering the upcoming travel of the Minister to the continent.
H.E. Tijjani Muhammad-Bande thanked Minister Champagne for his visit. He looked forward to working with him throughout the 74th Session of the General Assembly.
