Yi Chenxia is an adviser at the Social and Humanitarian Cluster of the Office of the President of the 74th Session of the United Nations General Assembly. She served as an adviser for the Sustainable Development Cluster of the Office of the President of the 73rd Session.

A Chinese diplomat, she joined the Foreign Ministry of the People’s Republic of China in 2009, where she worked in the Department of Treaty and Law and held different positions.

She participated in diplomatic negotiations on climate change in UNFCCC track and other environmental treaties from 2009 to 2013 in the Climate Change Office of the Department.

She served four years at Chinese Embassy in Malaysia as the personal assistant to the Ambassador from 2013 to 2017. 

Prior to joining the Office of the President, she worked as a legal adviser covering the Six Committee issues in the International Public Law Division.

Chenxia graduated from the University of International Business and Economics, she holds a Master’s degree of International Public Law. From 2005 to 2006, she studied in the Center of Russian Language and Culture of Saint Petersburg State University.

She is currently a PhD candidate for Diplomacy in China Foreign Affairs University.
