Zakari Zirra is a Nigerian Diplomat and Speechwriter in the Office of the President of the General Assembly.

Previously, he taught Political Science for six years in one of Nigeria’s public Universities before he joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2008.

In his capital Abuja, he mostly worked in the Africa Affairs Department as analyst and desk officer on regional issues. He was also Personal Assistant to the Permanent Secretary of the Foreign Ministry. So far, his diplomatic tour of duty had taken him to Zimbabwe and Germany.

Zakari Zirra holds a Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree from the University of Ibadan and the University of Maiduguri respectively. He also holds Doctorate Degree in Political Science with specialization in Climate Change Governance, from Nasarawa State University in Nigeria.
