READOUT: meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation

The President of the 74th Session of the UN General Assembly H.E. Tijjani Muhammad-Bande, held a bilateral meeting with Mr Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, in the margins of the High Level Ministerial week.

The Minister congratulated the President on his election and reiterated the support of Russia for a smooth and successful 74^th session.  They exchanged views on the PGA’s priorities, as well as on a reform of the Security Council geared towards a more balanced geographic representation.
