The President of the 74th Session of the UN General Assembly, H.E. Tijjani Muhammad-Bande, held today a bilateral meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brazil, H.E. Mr. Ernesto Henrique Fraga Araújo, on the margins of the General Debate.

They exchanged views on some of the core issues on the agenda of the General Assembly, such as the ongoing process of reform of the Security Council. The Brazilian Foreign Minister reaffirmed the commitment of his government to moving forward in promoting international peace and security, including Brazil’s engagement with UN peacekeeping.

President Muhammad-Bande also thanked Brazil for supporting his Office and they both stressed their common determination to continue this collaboration throughout the Session.
