The President of the United Nations General Assembly, H.E. Tijjani Muhammad-Bande held a meeting today with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uganda, H.E. Ruhakana Rugunda.

The Prime Minister congratulated the President on his election and invited him to Uganda to attend the 3rd South-South Summit, scheduled for April 2020 in Kampala. Both agreed that the Summit will present a veritable opportunity for the strengthening of multilateralism.

The President and the Prime Minister were united in their call for the implementation of the SDGs, underscoring the urgent need for quality education, including technical education, especially for the African continent.
