READOUT: meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Finland

The President of the 74^th Session of the UN General Assembly, H.E. Tijjani Muhammad-Bande, held today a bilateral meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Finland, H.E. Mr. Pekka Haavisto, in the margins of the General Debate.

They exchanged views on the prospects for the 74^th Session and SDGs Goals mainly poverty eradication, zero hunger, quality education, climate action, inclusion, and peacebuilding, conflict prevention, as well as commemoration of the 75^th anniversary of the creation of the United Nations.

Minister Haavisto congratulated the PGA on his nomination. President Muhammad-Bande thanked for the support and looks forward to work with Finland throughout the 74^th Session.
