The President of the 74th Session of the UN General Assembly, H.E. Tijjani Muhammad-Bande, met today with H.E. General Prayut Chan-o-Cha (Ret.), Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand. The President of the General Assembly thanked Thailand for the strong commitment to multilateralism and the leading role in the political declaration of the High-level Meeting on Universal Health Coverage. They discussed shared priorities for the 74th session of the General Assembly, including the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), partnerships, and climate action. The President commended Thailand for sharing the home-grown approach to development the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy (SEP) with the international community through “SEP for SDGs Partnership” and the able leadership as Chair of the Association of the Southeast Asian Nations.
