READOUT: meeting with the Executive Director of UN-Habitat

The President of the 74th Session of the UN General Assembly, H.E. Tijjani Muhammad-Bande, held a meeting with the Executive Director of UN-Habitat, Ms. Maimunah Mohd Sharif. President Muhammad-Bande underlined that the urban agenda is key for the United Nations system and commended UN Habitat’s work on the ground for achieving the 2030 Agenda or Sustainable Development. They reaffirmed that partnerships with cities and local governments are necessary in order to provide concrete improvements for the people.
