The President of the 74th Session of the UN General Assembly, H.E. Tijjani Muhammad-Bande, held a meeting with the Minister of Cabinet Affairs of Bahrain, H.E. Mohammed Ebrahim Al Mutawa. President Muhammad-Bande commended Bahrain’s development strategies especially efforts at realizing the Sustainable Development Goals. They both acknowledged the consensus that led to the General Assembly’s adoption of the Bahrain draft resolution declaring 5 April as International Conscious Day. They agreed on the need to promote peace, tolerance and collaboration as a way of fostering peace and development at the global level. They reaffirmed commitment to international cooperation and partnership as potent ways towards addressing challenges posed by poverty, climate change, terrorism and conflict.
