Harriet Osias is the scheduling officer in the Office of the President of the 73rd Session of the United Nations General Assembly. During the 72nd and 71st Sessions of the United Nations General Assembly she served as a Personal Assistant to the President.
In her current position, she provides support to the President of the 73rd Session of the United Nations General Assembly in the effective carrying-out of her daily activities and manages her schedule.
Before joining the Office of the President of the UN General Assembly, Harriet worked for two years with the Secretary-General’s climate change support team.
Harriet started working for the United Nations in 1985, in the press section of the Department of Public Information, later moving on to the general legal division of the Office of Legal Affairs, where she worked as an administrative assistant until 1991. From 1991 until 2010, Harriet served in the Executive Office of the Secretary-General of the United Nations.
Harriet also worked for missions in Switzerland, the former Yugoslavia and Lebanon.
Harriet speaks English, French and Spanish.
