ANNUAL GLOBAL MULTI-STAKEHOLDER SIDS PARTNERSHIP DIALOGUE
This afternoon, Member States will meet at the 2019 annual Global Multi-Stakeholder SIDS Partnerships Dialogue. The event will start at 3 pm. under the theme “Fostering effective partnerships for addressing gaps and priority areas of the SAMOA Pathway”.
The annual global multi-stakeholder dialogue is a key element of the SIDS partnership framework, which was established by the GA to monitor progress of partnerships for the sustainable development of Small Island Developing States.
This year, Member States and other participants will have the opportunity to discuss how to foster existing and future partnership agreements. The meeting also will serve to inform the upcoming General Assembly high-level review of the Samoa Pathway, which will take place here in New York on 27 September.
Ms. Espinosa started her day by chairing the plenary meeting at the GA Hall on the elections for the UN Dispute Tribunal. She later met with the Ambassadors of Jordan, H.E. This afternoon, President Espinosa will hold a bilateral meeting with the High Representative for the Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developed Countries, and Small Island Developing States, Ms. Fekitamoeloa Utoikamanu.
