The Presidents of Croatia, Estonia, Trinidad and Tobago and the Prime Minister of Iceland will address UN correspondents on gender equality and the role of women in politics.

UNITED NATIONS, New York, 8 March 2019 — The President of the United Nations General Assembly, Ms. María Fernanda Espinosa, will hold a press conference with four female Heads of State and Government in the margins of the High-Level Event, #WomenInPower.

The Press Conference will take place on 12 March 2019, from 12:30 pm to 13:00 pm, in New York at the Press Conference Briefing Room (S-237).

Ms. Espinosa will be accompanied by the President of Croatia, H.E. Ms. Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović; the President of Estonia, H.E. Mrs. Kersti Kaljulaid; the President of Trinidad and Tobago, H.E. Ms. Paula-Mae Weekes and the Prime Minister of Iceland, H.E. Ms. Katrín Jakobsdóttir.
