Monday, 9 July

The co-facilitators for the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration, will convene the sixth and final round of intergovernmental negotiations, from 9 to 13 July, in Conference  Room 1.

 

Tuesday, 10 July

The co-facilitators for the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration, will hold an informal dialogue with stakeholders from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

 

Friday, 13 July

The President of the General Assembly will host the 13th session of his Morning Dialogues, entitled ‘Peace and Prevention – elusive but not impossible’ at 8:15 a.m.

The final text of the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration is expected to be finalized. The President of the General Assembly is expected to participate in a press conference on this topic, at a time to be determined.

The General Assembly plenary will meet to hold a by-election for the United Nations Human Rights Council to fill the vacancy in the Western European and Other States Group, at 10 a.m. in Conference Room 2.

There will be informal consultations aimed at enhancing synergies and coherence and reducing overlap in the agendas of the General Assembly, the Economic and Social Council and their subsidiary bodies, in accordance with General Assembly resolution A/RES/71/323, at 3 p.m. in the Economic and Social Council Chamber.
