The Week Ahead at the General Assembly of the United Nations

Monday, 18 June

The President of the General Assembly will be in Finland, at the invitation of H.E. Mr. Sauli Niinistö, the President of Finland, to participate in high-level discussions convened by President Niinistö on multilateralism. President Lajčák will also meet several Finnish authorities, including the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Speaker of the Parliament of Finland.

The co-facilitators to lead the intergovernmental consultations on the high-level meeting on the fight against tuberculosis will hold informal consultations on the draft political declaration at 3 p.m. in the ECOSOC chamber.

 

Tuesday, 19 June

The President of the General Assembly will be in Romania at the invitation of H.E. Mr. Klaus Iohannis, the President of Romania.

The co-facilitators to lead the intergovernmental consultations on the high-level meeting on universal health coverage will  present their zero draft in a meeting at 3 p.m. in the General Assembly Hall.

 

Thursday, 21 June

The President of the General Assembly will be in Rhodes, Greece, to participate in the Third Rhodes Conference for Security and Stability.

 

Friday, 22 June

The General Assembly plenary will meet for the ad hoc election of five members of the International Court of Justice, at 10 a.m. in the General Assembly Hall

The co-facilitators to lead the intergovernmental consultations on the high-level meeting on universal health coverage will convene their first informal consultations at 10 a.m. in the Trusteeship Council Chamber.
