PRESIDENT HOLDS DIALOGUE ON AFRICA WITH U.N. AMBASSADORS

  • This morning the President held the 10th in his series of Morning Dialogues with United Nations ambassadors.
  • The topic this time was “Harnessing Africa’s strengths.”
  • Nine Permanent Representatives – from Africa and other regions – participated.

 

PRESIDENT TO ADDRESS U.N. INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL GRADUATES

  • This afternoon at 3:45, the President will be speaking at the graduation ceremony of the UN International School.
  • That will be held in the General Assembly Hall.

 

PRESS ENCOUNTERS AVAILABLE FOR NEXT ASSEMBLY PRESIDENT & NEW SECURITY COUNCIL MEMBERS

  • There will be two media stakeout opportunities next week.
  • On Tuesday 5 June, the election of the President of the 73rd session of the General Assembly will take place. That will be at 10:00 a.m. in the General Assembly Hall.
  • There are two candidates – from Ecuador and Honduras.
  • At around 12:00 p.m., the victor will speak to the press. A stakeout will be set up on the 2nd floor right by the entrance to the General Assembly Hall.
  • And then on Friday 8 June, the General Assembly will elect 5 non-permanent members of the Security Council. The elections will start at 10:00 a.m., and a media stakeout will be set up in the same area from that time until they end.
