Monday, 21 May

The President of the General Assembly will convene the fifth and final multi-stakeholder hearing of the preparatory process for the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration, at 10 a.m. in Conference room 4. Read the concept note and agenda here.

The President of the General Assembly will deliver remarks at the solemn meeting to mark the 70th Anniversary of the International Law Commission, at 11 a.m. in the Trusteeship Council Chamber.

 

Tuesday, 22 May

The President of the General Assembly will convene an informal meeting of the General Assembly to hear a briefing from the Secretary-General on his reform proposal “Shifting the management paradigm in the United Nations: implementing a new management architecture for improved effectiveness and strengthened accountability” at 3 p.m. in the Trusteeship Council Chamber.

The General Assembly Plenary will meet to consider the agenda item: ‘Interaction between the United Nations, national parliaments and the Inter-Parliamentary Union’, at 10 a.m. in the General Assembly Hall.

 

Wednesday, 23 May

There will be a high-level debate to mark the fifteenth anniversary of the adoption of the United Nations Convention against Corruption, at 10 a.m. in the Trusteeship Council Chamber. Read the programme here.

 

Thursday, 24 May

The General Assembly Plenary will meet to consider the following agenda items: report of the Peacebuilding Commission; Peacebuilding and sustaining peace; and report of the Secretary-General on the Peacebuilding Fund; at 10 a.m. in the General Assembly Hall.

 

Friday, 25 May

The first informal consultation on the preparation of the High-level Meeting on Middle-Income Countries will be held at 3 p.m. in the Trusteeship Council Chamber.
