Monday, 30 April

The President of the General Assembly will meet with His Holiness Pope Francis at the Vatican.

 

Tuesday, 1 May

Ahead of the Youth Dialogue that the President of the General Assembly will convene on 30 May, the President will hold his sixth Twitter chat entitled “Youth Dialogue Warm-up”. The chat will be live for 30 minutes from 11.00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and questions can be sent in advance. Tweet #AskUNPGA to join the conversation.

The General Assembly Plenary will hold an informal meeting (closed) on the intergovernmental negotiations on Security Council reform at 10 a.m. in the Trusteeship Council Chamber.

The President of the General Assembly will attend the commemoration of the day of Vesak, organized by Permanent Missions of Sri Lanka and Thailand, at 6:30 p.m. in General Assembly Hall.

 

Wednesday, 2 May

The General Assembly Plenary will hold an informal meeting (closed) on the intergovernmental negotiations on Security Council reform at 11 a.m. in the Trusteeship Council Chamber.

 

Thursday, 3 May 

The President of the General Assembly will deliver remarks at the high-level segment of World Press Freedom Day, at 10 a.m. in Conference Room 1.

The Co-facilitators to lead intergovernmental consultaions aimed at enhancing synergies and coherence and reducing overlap where it is found to exist in the agendas of the General Assembly and Economic and Social Council and their subsidiry bodies as well as the high-level political forum and other related forums, will hold the first round of consultations with the Bureaus of the Second, Third and Fifth Committees, at 10 a.m. in Conference Room 4.

 

Friday, 4 May

The President of the General Assembly will hold informal interactive dialogues with candidates for the position of the President of the seventy-third session of the General Assembly, at 9 a.m. in the Trusteeship Council Chamber.

The President of the General Assembly will deliver remarks at the Celebration of Portuguese Language and Culture Day of the Community of Portuguese Language Countries (CPLP) at 6:30 p.m. in the Express Bar.
