The President of the 72nd session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Miroslav Lajčák, met today with H.E. Mr. Adama Barrow, President of the Republic of The Gambia. They discussed issues related to the political situation and efforts to promote peace and democracy in The Gambia . They also spoke about ongoing General Assembly processes related to the Global Compact on Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration; sustaining peace and preventive diplomacy; and implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
