The Week Ahead at the General Assembly of the United Nations

Monday, 26 February

The President of the General Assembly will be in Geneva, Switzerland, from 26 to 27 February. There he will address the opening of the 37th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council, the Council’s Annual High-level Panel on Human Rights Mainstreaming and the Conference on Disarmament.

Tuesday, 27 February

The second meeting of the Intergovernmental Negotiations (IGN) on Security Council Reform, will be held on 27 and 28 February in Conference Room 2.

Wednesday, 28 February

The President of the General Assembly will be in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from 28 February to 1 March. There he will meet with officials from the African Union Commission, the Government of Ethiopia, the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa and the United Nations Office to the African Union (UNOAU).
