The President of the 72nd session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Miroslav Lajčák, met today with H.E. Mr. Marcel Amon-Tanoh, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Cote d’Ivoire. They exchanged views on peacebuilding, sustaining peace and peace and security challenges in Africa. They further discussed priorities for the 72nd Session, migration, and UN reforms, including Security Council reform. The President of the General Assembly expressed appreciation for the Republic of Cote d’Ivoire’s important contributions to the United Nations and welcomed progress toward consolidation of peace and stability in the country.
