Meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of People’s Republic of China

The President of the 72nd session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Miroslav Lajčák, met today with H.E. Mr. Wang Yi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China.

They discussed United Nations-China relations, the Sustainable Development Goals, sustaining peace, migration and United Nations reform. The President expressed appreciation for China’s leadership in multilateral affairs, as well as its engagement in United Nations peacekeeping and development.

The President thanked the Minister for China’s strong support for the work of his office.
