Mr. Peter Thomson met today with the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovakia H.E. Mr. Miroslav Laj\u010d\u00e1k. President Thomson informed Minister Laj\u010d\u00e1k about his recent trips and the work his office is doing in sustaining the momentum for the implementation of the SDGs. He thanked minister Laj\u010d\u00e1k for contribution of Slovakia to the Trust Fund devoted to Goal 14 and underlined the importance of the Conference on the Oceans in June. The discussion included tomorrow&#8217;s High Level Dialogue on the linkages between the 2030 Agenda and Sustaining Peace, as well as and other key events and processes that will continue into the next session of the General Assembly.<\/p>\n<p>Minister Laj\u010d\u00e1k confirmed the endorsement, by the Eastern European Regional Group, of his candidature for President of the 72nd UNGA session.
