Informal meeting with the Secretary-General-designate António Guterres

Informal meeting with the Secretary-General-designate António Guterres in the ECOSOC chamber on 19 October from 3-5PM EST.

The meeting will provide an opportunity for early interaction between the Secretary-General-designate and Member States to assist in his preparation for office.

All Member States and groups will be welcome to speak. Consequently, interventions should be brief and not exceed three minutes, with four minutes allocated to groups. All interested delegations are encouraged to inscribe with the list of speakers in the General Assembly Affairs Branch.

In line with the commitments of transparency and inclusivity of the President of the UN General Assembly, the meeting will be webcast and open to stakeholders, including civil society.
