Stefanie TerkildsenStefanie Terkildsen is an Adviser on human rights, humanitarian issues and law within the Office of the President of the 70th Session of the United Nations General Assembly.

Her special focus is on human rights issues in the Third Committee, the responsibility to protect (R2P), indigenous peoples, and the selection process of the next Secretary-General.

Stefanie joined the United Nations in New York in 2015. In previous positions in Europe, she has worked in the areas of human rights and humanitarian issues and has a legal background in the private sector.

Prior to joining the Office of the President of the General Assembly, she served as a legal assistant at Denmark’s Ministry of Justice.

She speaks English, German and Danish.
