The President of the UN General Assembly, Mr. Mogens Lykketoft, met Egypt’s Foreign Minister Mr. Sameh Shoukry in advance of the elections for five new non-permanent members of the Security Council for 2016-2017. They discussed the situation in the Middle East, especially the situation in the Palestinian Territory as well as other issues on the General Assembly agenda, as well as Egypt’s priorities as incoming member of the Security Council.
