Millenium Campus Network Conference 2015

The United Nations Office for Partnerships, the Office of the Secretary-General’s Envoy on Youth and the Millenium Campus Network, a national non-profit organization, convened the 7th annual Millennium Campus Conference (MCC 2015) on 11 – 14 August 2015. The MCC 2015 gathered more than 500 university student leaders coming from more than 50 countries and enabled them to meet, discuss and exchange over the upcoming Sustainable Development Goals and the Post-2015 Development Agenda.

The Conference had a very interactive character with program blocks focusing on practical learning and exchange of experiences. In addition to developing concrete skills during Best Practice Workshops and Team-Based Discussions, students also had the opportunity to become inspired by world leaders in the field including President-Elect of the UN General Assembly Mogens Lykketoft, prominent economist and director of the Earth Institute at Columbia University Dr. Jeffrey Sachs, Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations and Deputy Director of UN Women Lakshmi Puri, Annie Griffiths of National Geographic and Dr. Vanessa Kerry of Seed Global Health, Sol Guy of Tribeca Enterprises.
