Learn about the United Nations Office for Partnerships

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development includes, under Sustainable Development Goal 17, a call to revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development, including through multi-stakeholder partnerships that mobilize and share knowledge, expertise, technology and financial resources toward achievement of the Goals.

The United Nations Office for Partnerships serves as a gateway for partnership building between the private sector, foundations and other non-State actors and the United Nations system in furtherance of the Sustainable Development Goals.

In this role, the Office has four primary functions:

On 14 July, the United Nations Deputy Secretary-General Amina J. Mohammed convened the Women Rise for All live event. As part of the Decade of Action to reach the Sustainable Development Goals – the blueprint for a healthier, more equitable and more peaceful world – the interactive event supported by UNOP gathered influential women to look at how their leadership is shaping the COVID-19 response and efforts to build back better.

“Like no other time in recent history, women are on the frontlines of COVID-19,” said the UN Deputy Secretary-General. “It is time for us to rise as women leaders taking action to conquer the pandemic and come out stronger.”

The recording of the event can be viewed here.
