Le Programme d’action d’Istanbul en faveur des pays les moins avancés
Par suite de l’adoption du Programme d’action d’Istanbul pour la décennie 2011-2020, le Bureau s’emploie à aider les pays les moins avancés à atteindre les objectifs des huit domaines d’action prioritaires du programme. Il vise notamment à promouvoir leur retrait de la liste des pays les moins avancés [lien] et la poursuite d’autres objectifs de développement convenus au niveau international, y compris la mise en œuvre du Programme de développement durable à l’horizon 2030, du Programme d’action d’Addis-Abeba et de l’Accord de Paris.
Le Programme d’action d’Istanbul devant prendre fin en 2020, le Bureau de la Haute Représentante a été chargé par l’Assemblée générale de coordonner les préparatifs de la cinquième Conférence des Nations Unies sur les pays les moins avancés qui doit se tenir à Doha (Qatar) en mars 2021.
