From 29 February to 1 March, the Ministry of Trade of Uganda, with funding from United States Agency for International Development (USAID), organizes a capacity development training on the electronic ePing export notification toolkit designed and implemented under the capacity development activities of the Committee for Development Policy (CDP) Unit of Development Policy and Analysis Division (DPAD). Participants include approximately 60 new users of the system, from 9 regional districts in Uganda, various government entities and private sector entities. The ePing system has now been tested in four pilot Least Developed Countries (LDCs) (the Gambia, Lesotho, Nepal and Uganda) as well as in a number of trading partners. In the coming weeks additional ePing training activities will be organized by the Government of Uganda.
