Bangladesh is scheduled to graduate on 24 November 2026 (see the General Assembly resolution here).

On 18 February 2026, the Committee for Development Policy received a request from the Government of Bangladesh to consider an extension of the preparatory period for graduation under the crisis response provision of the Committee’s enhanced monitoring mechanism. The Committee is reviewing the request in accordance with the established procedures.
