The Support Measures Portal for Least Developed Countries provides information about international support measures (ISMs) adopted by the international development community for countries in the least developed countries (LDC) category in the areas of tradedevelopment cooperationparticipation in the United Nations and other international processes; and others. It also provides news and analysis about LDCs.
The portal is part of a  project to improve the capacity of LDCs to access and benefit from the international support measures.  The portal was developed by the Secretariat of the Committee for Development Policy (CDP), which is part of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs. The Committee for Development Policy (CDP) is a subsidiary body of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). The Committee provides independent advice to ECOSOC on development issues and is responsible for regularly reviewing the LDC category and for monitoring the progress of countries after they graduate from the category.
