ePing – How to track changes in international trade rules and regulations online

A blog post by the USAID East Africa Trade and Investment Hub highlights the need for an electronic notification system to track changes in export product requirements. The article starts with a concrete example of exporters facing obstacles to the entry of their products in foreign markets and continues to explain how the ePing system developed by the CDP Secretariat can assist. World Trade Organization (WTO) and International Trade Centre (ITC) are collaborating with Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) on the further development, maintenance and training of the system which is now being used by around 600 registered users from over 60 countries. The official launch of the system will take place on 8 November at the WTO Secretariat.
