China’s LDCs and Accession Programme (the China Programme)

The Government of China and the WTO signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in 2011 on the basis of which the Government of China established the “China’s LDCs and Accessions Programme”, known as  “the China Programme”. The Programme has the objective of facilitating participation of LDCs in WTO discussions as well as building capacity for accession negotiations. The Programme provides support to an internship programme; annual round tables on accession-related themes; the participation of LDC coordinators in selected meetings; and a South-South dialogue on LDCs and development, among others. The Government of China and the WTO review the contents of the Programme and the extension of the MoU on an annual basis.
