More than a third of people on the planet have never used the internet and an overwhelming majority of them – 96 per cent – live in developing countries.
The following is the speech given by the United Nations Secretary-General to the first part of LDC5 in New York on March 17, 2022.
Five decades ago, the United Nations created the category of Least Developed Countries.
