LDC5 Registration  

Registration of official delegations and members of the parties of Heads of State or Government, Vice-Presidents and Crown Princes or Princesses will be carried out by the United Nations’ Protocol and Liaison Service.   

Participating States and international organisations accredited by the General Assembly will be required to submit their registration requests through their permanent missions and offices to the United Nations in New York.   

Information on the registration procedure, as well as the opening date of pre-registration in New York and on-site registration in Doha, will be announced and communicated to the missions/offices at a later stage.

LDC5 Special Accreditation - For Entities not in Consultative Status with ECOSOC

In advance of the conference, there will be preparatory meetings which will involve national, regional, and global reviews of priorities on the Istanbul Programme of Action. The 1st Intergovernmental Preparatory Committee will be held from 24-28 May 2021 and the 2nd from 26-30 July 2021 at the UN Headquarters in New York.

Moreover, the President of the General Assembly and the President of ECOSOC will organize a "Joint Thematic Event on Accelerated Implementation of the 2030 Agenda in LDCs to Leave No One Behind in the context of COVID-19 " on 18 June 2021 at the UN Headquarters in New York.

In order to participate in (1) the Conference, (2) Preparatory Meetings and (3) the Thematic Event, the following categories of relevant entities not in consultative status with ECOSOC must express their interest and apply for special accreditation.
- Non-governmental organizations
- Civil society organizations
- Academic institutions
- Private sector

The Application for Special-accreditation is now open until 1st April 2021.
