Empire Blue Cross Contract Negotiations

Please be advised that Westchester Medical Center Health Network* (“Westchester Medical Center and Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital of Westchester”) did not renew its participating provider contract with Empire Blue Cross and will be out of network as of midnight 31 May 2019.    

Contract negotiations occur to provide members and their dependents with a broad network of providers who have agreed to accept negotiated rates and other important contract terms that impact the overall affordability of healthcare. Increases in hospital rates can significantly impact both the overall affordability of coverage as well as the out-of-pocket costs of members enrolled in health benefit plans.

Empire is working diligently, and in good faith, to reach a reasonable agreement with the medical provider and will inform the United Nations as soon as it is able to reach an agreement that is acceptable to both parties.  Below is a list of facilities plan members can receive medical services from while these negotiations continue.
