Taking place in the immediate post-recovery phase, the programme aimed to mitigate the socio-economic impact of the devastation caused by hurricanes Ivan and Emily. By providing assistance towards long-term reconstruction and recovery, the programme allowed individuals and communities to strengthen their resilience and improve their adaptation and coping mechanisms to future climate-related threats.
