The programme addressed the challenges faced by conflict and disaster affected communities. Through improved access to education and health services; strengthened community infrastructure, enterprise training and business development; and the promotion of peaceful co-existence, the programme was able to enhance social cohesion, strengthen economic stability and improve disaster preparedness at the local level.
