Assistance to the small-scale subsistence fisheries in Southern Sudan [now South Sudan]

The programme improved human security in fishery dependent, conflict-ridden communities through the distribution of fishing equipment and the provision of technical training. The programme increased self-reliance and by extension reduced the dependency of vulnerable communities on external food aid.
