Ivonne Lujano Vilchis holds a Ph.D. in Education Policy and Evaluation at Arizona State University (ASU). She is a member of the Mexican National System of Researchers (SNII) and a postdoctoral researcher at El Colegio Mexiquense (Mexico). Ivonne is also known for her role as a Community Manager at the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) and as a DOAJ Senior Ambassador in Latin America. Ivonne is a prominent figure in the field of scholarly communication and Open Access; for over 13 years, she has collaborated with several initiatives in the academic community to promote equity and diversity in the scholarly publishing arena. Ivonne is also a member of Wikimedia Mexico. She writes about higher education systems, research evaluation, science policy, scholarly communication, open access, and multilingualism. She has taught at public and private universities in Mexico and has been a guest lecturer at universities in Latin America and the U.S.
