Member States, Inter-governmental Organizations (IGOs) and other entities with observer status and UN system entities

Delegations of Member States, Inter-governmental Organisations (IGOs) with observer status to the UN and UN Specialized Agencies or Related Organizations are invited to indicate the full composition of their delegation through the e-list of participants module for the Forum in the UN e-deleGATE portal.

International and regional entities with observer status to UNFF

International and regional entities with observer status to the UN Forum on Forests (UNFF) are invited to indicate the full composition of their delegation by sending the UNFF Secretariat an official letter on the organization’s letter-head and signed by the Executive-Director listing the names and contact information (including email addresses) of each representative being nominated to participate in the UNFF session.

Major Groups and other stakeholders as defined in Agenda 21

The UNFF welcomes the participation of the nine major groups as identified in Chapter 23 of Agenda 21, including: women, children and youth, indigenous people, non-governmental organizations, local authorities, workers and trade unions, business and industry, scientific and technological communities, and farmers and small forest landowners.

Major groups organizations that are accredited with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations (ECOSOC) and the former Commission on Sustainable Development (CSD) are encouraged to participate in sessions of the Forum.

You can verify that your organization is ECOSOC accredited using the ECOSOC NGO database.

Organizations not yet accredited with ECOSOC or CSD may follow the discussions at the upcoming UNFF session through the livestream on UN Web TV. For more information on Major Groups please see the Major Groups section.

Media

Media representatives wishing to attend UNFF-related meetings should apply for accreditation by following the instructions on the Media Accreditation & Liaison Unit website. Member States should register media accompanying the delegation, including journalists and official photo/video, via “eRegistration”, available through the eDeleGATE Portal. Authorized users may follow the instructions posted here.
