Regional reports UNFF11

In accordance with the Forum’s Multi-Year Program of Work for 2007-2015, the overall theme of the eleventh session of the United Nations Forum on Forests was Forests: progress, challenges and the way forward on the international arrangement on forests (IAF). The session:

• reviewed the effectiveness of the international arrangement on forests and consideration of all future options;
• reviewed progress towards the achievement of the Global Objectives on Forests (GOFs) and implementation of the UN Forest Instrument; and
• reviewed the contribution of forests and the IAF, including the Forest Instrument, to the internationally agreed development goals, including the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).

The Secretariat prepared a questionnaire available in Microsoft .docx format in three languages [ EN, ES, FR ] to facilitate submission of input by regional and sub-regional organizations/processes, on these issues.
