Description | Following UNCED, 1992, the pursuit of subregional cooperation on environment in North-east Asia was promoted. Issues addressed | Improvement of understanding of regional environmental issues and impacts, exchange of technical information and know-how to mitigate environmental problems, improvement of human resources capabilities and development of framework for subregional cooperation and coordination. | |
