1/ Informal side events organized by countries, organizations and NGOs are
listed in italics. Timing of such events is tentative.

2/ In accordance with the previous practice of the CSD three such groups,
to be chaired by vice-chairmen of the CSD, will be established but no more
than two meeting (including the Plenary) will be held in parallel. The Bureau
of the CSD suggested the following division of labor among drafting groups
during the fourth session of the CSD: the first to deal with matters related
to Atmosphere, Oceans and Seas, and SIDS; the second with Finance,
Consumption/Production Patterns, Transfer of Technology, Trade, Poverty
and Demographics; and the third with Education, Capacity Building,
Decision-Making (Chapter 8, 38, 39 and 40), and National Reporting. Final
recommendation on this matter will be made by the new Bureau of
the Commission.

3/ This panel will take place as a self-standing event that will take place
on 22-23 April, 1996
