Breakthrough FFD3 outcome sets positive tone for global change

The world marked a momentous event in international development last month, as it adopted the financial framework that will be the foundation of future development efforts.

The Addis Ababa Action Agenda was adopted at the Third International Conference on Financing for Development (FFD3), held on July 13-16th in the Ethiopian capital.

The conference is a landmark event leading up to the adoption of the Post 2015 Development Agenda later this year, setting the world on a renewed pathway to sustainability , inclusivity, and prosperity.

By adopting the Action Agenda, the world has said “yes” to a comprehensive package of over a hundred policy actions that mobilizes the finances for this ambitious agenda.

With the commitments from Addis firmly in place, the world can now move forward…to make 2015 the year of global change, and towards a sustainable future, for all.
